Eastown Veterinary Clinic celebrated the official ribbon cutting for its renovated and expanded facility on July 19, 2018. The expansion allowed for separate dog and cat entrances, each leading to species-specific lobbies and exam rooms. The existing building was renovated and has become the dog side. The three existing exam rooms were renovated, and two rooms were added, including a larger room for our sizable patients, and a comfortable consultation room. The consultation room offers privacy for sensitive appointments such as euthanasias and detailed discussions with doctors. The canine ward was moved and redesigned, and now has five large runs in addition to several smaller cages.
A 5,340-square-foot building addition allowed for an increase in dental and surgical space, as well as expansion of the treatment area. An intensive care unit was added, as well as a cat ward and a larger isolation unit. The grooming area was moved into the building expansion, and now contains cages specifically for grooming patients.
Besides providing extra space, the addition allowed for a cat entrance that leads to a cats-only lobby and four cat-friendly exam rooms. Three of the rooms have large windows perfect for feline sun-bathing, and all four rooms offer heated tables and comfortable fleece table covers. All of these features help keep kitties comfortable during frequently-stressful exams. The addition includes a second floor, which provided much-needed space for offices for doctors, as well as a conference room to be used for staff breaks and training sessions. The conference room also provides a large space for free client seminars held regularly at EVC. Our new call center on the second floor receives all incoming calls, preventing extended hold times and allowing our front desk staff to assist clients in the clinic.
All of the improvements help EVC deliver the best in veterinary services. We look forward to seeing you and your pet at our incredible facility!
