Good nutrition enhances your pet's quality of life and longevity. To maintain your pet's health, Eastown Veterinary Clinic will assess your dog or cat's nutritional needs. Sometimes, we will recommend specific diets to control disease or help a pet lose weight. Our nutritional recommendations are individualized and are based on each individual pet and their specific health needs.

During your pet's physical examination, we will complete a brief evaluation of your pet's nutritional status. We will look at your pet's complete health history, including age, body condition score, muscle gain or loss, any atypical or homemade diets they're on, any medical conditions, and changes in appetite. If your Eastown veterinarian identifies one or more risk factors based on this screening, we will complete an extended pet nutrition evaluation.
